  • Responsible for coordination and preparation of asset teams annual Long Range Plan and Budget.

  • Support overall coordination of the annual planning exercises, including consolidation of the BU plans and preparation of all review and submission materials.

  • Participate as an integral team member on multi-disciplined asset teams seeking to improve asset performance and reporting. Responsible for assisting and influencing asset teams in the investment decision-making process and supporting strategy initiatives.

  • Support the continuous improvement of long range planning tools and processes.

  • Responsible for Post Audit evaluation of the assets' development programs.

  • Coordinating competitor analysis and benchmarking activities.

  • Support ad hoc requests related to internal or external environmental changes or requests.

  • Responsible for periodic forecasts of business performance metrics including: production, capital, operating costs, reserve replacement, F&D cost/boe, etc.

  • Assist asset teams in the evaluation of commercial opportunities.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • 10 years appropriate industry experience within Finance and Planning.

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.

  • Strong knowledge of investment appraisal techniques and application.

  • Strong financial and operational analysis skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong teambuilding and leadership skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills working with financial, technical, operational and management personnel.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

  • Ability to summarize and present financial information.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work under tight deadlines.

  • Understanding of business unit strategies and provide relevant reporting & analysis to facilitate management's assessment of results in achieving goals and strategies.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
