Alaska Overview
ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2023. The company produced an average of 195 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (MBOED) in 2023. ConocoPhillips Alaska holds major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest legacy equivalent per day conventional oil fields, both located on Alaska’s North Slope: Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips Alaska owns and operates several fields on the Western North Slope. The company also has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and owns and operates the Polar Tankers fleet.
Position Overview
Willow Overview
Located on Alaska’s North Slope in the National Petroleum Reserve (NPR-A), the Willow project is estimated to produce 180,000 barrels of oil per day at its peak. During construction, Willow is expected to create around 2,500 jobs, with a majority of labor provided by union workers. The development is estimated to create approximately 300 permanent jobs.
The economic impact of the Willow project will be sizable. According to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) estimates, Willow could generate between $8 billion and $17 billion in new revenue for the federal government, the state of Alaska, the North Slope Borough, and local communities. The initial phase of Willow development will include a new Willow Central Processing Facility, three drill sites, pipelines, roads, bridges, and supporting infrastructure.

Willow will be a greenfield design including all processing facilities, utilities, drilling equipment, camp, and power generation.
The Network Analyst's main responsibility is to provide daily support, setup, and maintenance for the LAN and WAN networks. The Analyst may also assist with the microwave and two-way radio systems as needed. This role requires regular collaboration with global teams to ensure alignment with company standards.
Your responsibilities may include:
Network Infrastructure Management:
Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot existing Cisco LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi and CallManager infrastructure
Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot the Process Control Network (PCN) level 2.5 - 3.5 networks
Utilize and maintain various network monitoring toolsets including SolarWinds, Orion and LogicMonitor
Collaborate with the global network operations team to ensure integration of global IT and telecom strategies with Willow's business objectives
Maintain accurate network assets records in ServiceNow
Plan and execute system upgrades and maintenance in alignment with Global Security Compliances with minimal disruption to Willow Operations
Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot Genetec, camera, and Access Control systems as required
System Maintenance & Optimization:
Proactively identify and resolve network issues to insure continuous operations
Monitor and optimize network performance, addressing potential issues before they impact operations
Ensure systems remain up to date with the latest patches, updates, and security configurations
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed of emerging network technologies
Operational Support:
Provide day-to-day operational and technical support for all Willow site networks and telecommunications infrastructure and assist with the existing brown fields as needed
Ensure compliance with corporate security policies and industry best practices
Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Valid/Current Driver License
1 or more years of experience in networking principles and IT-Telecom systems in a corporate enterprise environment
1 or more years of experience with fiber optic transport technologies
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work a 14 days on/14 days off rotational schedule on the North Slope of Alaska
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) on occasion, to safely perform physical labor including climbing ladders/stairs, walking, standing, stooping, sitting, lift and carry material up to 20lbs
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field or foreign equivalent
Industry certifications, such as CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent in Routing and Switching.
3 or more years of experience supporting a global network
1 or more years of experience with Cisco LAN/WAN devices, ACI Data Center technologies, and SilverPeak SD-WAN
1 or more years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Spotfire)
Advanced working knowledge of networking protocols such as MPLS, BGP, QoS, and Traffic Engineering
Intermediate proficiency in Python, Ansible, and other scripting languages
Beginner knowledge of North Slope operations and expectations
Ability to adhere to ConocoPhillips safety processes and protocols
Self-driven and proactive, skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously while staying focused on the broader project objectives
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to deliver practical solutions and meet goals
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries
Strong commitment to safety, ethics, and accountability in all aspects of the role
