Job Summary:

Information Technology Intern assignments provide practical opportunities to apply concepts and skills learned through the college curriculum to the business environment.

First-time internship assignments will typically be at our Bartlesville, Oklahoma or Houston, Texas offices. Subsequent opportunities are generally available in either location. There may also be limited internship opportunities available in Anchorage, Alaska. You may be eligible for the voluntary hybrid office work (HOW) program that is designed to provide employees with flexibility while maintaining the advantages of in-person engagement. Typical length of our internships varies from 10 to 14 weeks based on the project and your availability.

Job Description:

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and supporting automation processes across enterprise functions

  • Assisting with cybersecurity operations and incident response

  • Developing technical direction to gain competitive advantage in scientific computing areas (data visualization, networking, etc.)

  • Translating business data requirements into analytics solutions

  • Developing, implementing, and supporting network security processes

  • Learning and applying programming/development tools and techniques

  • Utilizing a wide range of technologies including web & cloud infrastructure, data warehousing, telecommunications, and databases to deliver IT services

  • Developing business tools for data analysis

Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer and/or education institution

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field or foreign equivalent

  • Current level in college: Freshman through Senior

  • Expected graduation date: Fall 2024 through Spring/Fall 2027

  • A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for internship

Preferred:

  • Willing to work in either of these locations: Bartlesville, OK, Houston, TX or Anchorage, AK

  • A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to generate effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical

  • Ability to invite dialogue to gain an exchanged views and influences with confidence to drive performance and achieve business results

  • Demonstrates an understanding of how key financial and quantitative indicators impact the business
