Land Administration is a leveraged, multi-functional organization responsible for establishing, maintaining, and protecting the legal ownership of real property assets for ConocoPhillips. The department provides distinct value to the company through analyzing legal documents such as oil and gas leases, contracts, title opinions, and conveyance documents to establish and maintain joint venture and revenue ownership. Owner inquiries regarding lease interpretations, ownership interest calculations, payments, and transfer of ownership are managed by the department. The maintenance of lease acquisition costs, and creation of visual representations through use of spatial data for both surface and mineral ownership facilitates and aids in business decisions.

If you are selected as the Property Maintenance Associate, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large volumes of complex lease and contract language in a manner that exposes COPC to limited risk of loss of Company assets (leases), penalty, litigation, or poor external relations. You will engage and network with internal and external business partners while developing knowledge of legal documents and key system applications.

This position will be based in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting in the maintenance of oil & gas leases, surface leases and associated contracts for legal ownership, acreage figures, payment amounts and due dates

  • Create electronic obligation records to ensure accurate and timely lease obligation payments (i.e. delay rentals, advanced royalties, minimum royalties, etc.) and retirements of company asset

  • Execute daily responsibilities and tasks in a timely manner and in accordance with direction of others

  • Interact with Land to ensure timely receipt of necessary information and supporting documentation

  • Develop a network of contacts and maintain a positive rapport with personnel in interactive COPC departments and external parties, to assure conflict resolution and procurement of necessary information



  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee

  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination, or ConocoPhillips approved accommodation, required

  • 1 years of direct experience in a professional office environment

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word

  • Basic proficiency with mathematics


  • 1 years of direct experience in the Oil and Gas Industry

  • 1 years of experience with oil/gas law, real property/title law, and government regulations

  • 1 years of experience with Quorum Land Suite Software

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service orientation
