Eagle Ford Overview

ConocoPhillips acreage is located in the sweet spot of the Eagle Ford tight oil trend, located in the Western Gulf Basin of South Texas. The company was one of the first to enter the play in 2009, and by year-end 2018 held approximately 200,000 net leasehold and mineral acres, primarily in DeWitt, Karnes and Live Oak counties. Since field inception, ConocoPhillips has produced more than 300 million barrels of oil equivalent from the field and continues to build the Eagle Ford into a legacy asset with production expected for years to come. In 2018, net production from the Eagle Ford averaged 186 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, with about 80 percent of the production coming from liquids.

Description

If you are selected as the Eagle Ford Integrated Operations Center (IOC) Operator, you will be responsible for remotely monitoring and optimizing well site production and central treating and processing for approximately 220 MBOED net oil and gas production. This role is responsible for remote alarm monitoring, optimization of 3rd party gas and crude oil deliveries and optimization of well & central processing facilities.

The Eagle Ford Integrated Operations Center operates 24/7. You will work a 7/7 work schedule including day and night shifts.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Responsible for the successful implementation of the Eagle Ford IOC production surveillance and optimization plan related to well site and central facilities operation

  • Surveillance and control of well site facilities, trunk-lines, central facilities, and 3rd party gas offtake

  • Alarm management

  • Lone worker system monitoring

  • Central facility equipment monitoring and optimization

  • Optimization of 3rd party gas deliveries

  • Assistance with oil truck hauling dispatch and coordination

  • Production control optimization

  • Target vs. Actual

  • Monitor production from a centralized control room and optimize accordingly to achieve production targets

  • Automated work plan management

  • Communicate any work priority changes necessary to the MSO

Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE):

  • Align with L48/Gulf Coast Business Unit (GCBU) HSE policies and procedures

  • Incident command support

Regulatory:

  • Follow applicable regulatory policies and procedures

Production surveillance & optimization (Ps&o):

  • Provide input and direction for field-wide operating strategy

  • Provide updates and mentorship on operations, maintenance, and down-hole activities for the area

  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues

  • Collaborate with Engineering for data gathering requests

  • Manage the production and downtime events in area of responsibility to minimize repeat failures

  • Ensure lease-hold wells are produced to maintain leases

Qualifications:

Basic/Required:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • 3 years of direct experience in upstream field operations

  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/ align with the following:

  • Work a 7/7 schedule including day and night shift

  • Work unscheduled overtime as needed

Preferred:

  • 5 years of direct experience in well operations

  • Experience in the U.S. gas industry including gas gathering, dehydration, compression, pipeline, stabilization and processing

  • Working knowledge of field operations including: compression, plunger lift, rod pump, chemical treating, etc. operations on high pressure and low pressure gas and oil wells

  • Understanding of well control and artificial lift theories and techniques

  • Desire and ability to drive and enforce ConocoPhillips core values of Safety, People, Integrity, Responsibility, Innovation & Teamwork

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organization skills

  • Proven written and oral communication skills
