The NAS Storage Analyst position is within the IT infrastructure organization that supports the global NetApp Storage environment. This role will be accountable for day-to-day support, technical design, planning, and implementation of enterprise NAS environments in corporate and co-located datacenters. Basic knowledge of NAS and effectively communication skills are key job requirements.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining NetApp and other NAS hardware

  • Participating in Follow the Sun support for global infrastructure Storage

  • Developing and promoting standard operating procedures

  • Conducting audits of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines

  • Being available to perform tasks outside normal business hours and on weekends as well as being on call for at least one week per quarter

  • Participating in the weekday on-call rotation and checklist

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • 1 years of experience with operating systems, application support, or storage

  • 1 years of experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem solving

  • 1 years direct experience in supporting global applications or systems

  • Must be physically able to install and configure storage hardware

  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.

  • Willing and able to travel 10% or more


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology or other related technical discipline

  • Experience with diagnosing enterprise storage hardware (NetApp, Isilion, Pure, etc.)

  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows and/or UNIX file permissions and filesystems

  • Basic knowledge of NFS and CIFS protocols

  • Experience with scripting or automation skills

  • Basic knowledge of cloud IaaS technologies

  • Knowledge of backup software and methodologies

  • Understanding of WAN, TCP/IP, DNS

  • Operations experience in an Enterprise datacenter environment

  • Knowledge of Change Management and how it affects Global infrastructure

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and a self-starter

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments

  • Builds positive relationships across organizations that foster a strong work environment

  • Analyzes issues and understands their business impact
