Description:

The Senior Coordinator will improve HSER effectiveness through coordination of the L48 HSER Steering Team meetings along with aiding L48 HSER management to identify gaps, create work groups, establish improvements, and develop communication plans to achieve L48 HSER consistency and enhance performance. Also, they will be accountable for continuous HSER procedures, standards and guidelines improvement to achieve the goal of reduced hazard exposures, lower the risk profile and build a learning culture. The Senior Coordinator will also be tasked with ensuring the management system is accessible, current and understood throughout the BU. A comprehensive understanding of the HSER Management System and culture as well as Lower 48 operations, projects and drilling workgroups is beneficial to being successful in this role.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Maintain Lower 48 Level I Management System documents including delivery and storage mechanisms such as web-sites, SharePoint and Livelink

  • Ensure effective validation and communication of changes throughout Lower 48 – Interface with IT resources as appropriate

  • Lead the Lower 48 HSER MS network; soliciting and compiling comments to effectuate proposed Lower 48 HSER MS changes

  • Interface with Corporate HSER to ensure L48 Management System procedures, standards and guidelines are consistent with corporate HSER standards and procedures

  • Interface with the Lower 48 HSER Steering Team consisting of the several BU Production Operations managers, D&C managers, and G&P manager, as they champion efforts to improve HSER, SD and SE performance and guide MS effectiveness

  • Coordinate projects based on program improvements identified by the Lower 48 HSER Steering Team to ensure progress, completion and communication of project results to the L48 HSER Steering Team and throughout the BUs

  • Collaborate with L48 Training resources to ensure HSER training is fit-for-role, integrates well with available management system tools and achieves desired competency

  • Collaborate with the L48 Environmental Network Lead and the L48 S&OH Network Lead to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Liaise with resources in Wells Management, A&OI, FDM and Operating groups to ensure their documents are properly housed and maintained in the HSER MS

Qualifications:

Basic/Required:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or other related discipline

  • 10 years HSER experience

  • 10 years energy industry experience

Preferred:

  • Advanced Degree

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience networking and gaining cooperation from members of other work groups

  • Extensive knowledge of Federal health and safety standards

  • Strong presentation skills needed to act as trainer for large groups

  • Strong web-site and SharePoint skills

  • Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks opportunities to collaborate across the matrix/organizational boundaries to achieve business results.
