The Supply Chain Coordinator position is a strategic role which executes supply chain strategies, plans, and deliverables through sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management as part of the GCBU O&M Supply Chain team.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Supply Chain Management (SCM)

  • Liaise with Engineering & Operations to understand drivers and technical needs to develop supply chain strategies and implement plans for the daily support of operations

  • Sourcing and Cost Excellence

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify & develop opportunities that add value through our supply base including:

  • Analyze spend and market data

  • Develop and lead sourcing events and/or solicit commercial offerings

  • Negotiate with suppliers

  • Manage ad hoc and emergency requirements

  • Contract Management

  • Negotiate and maintain contractual terms and conditions utilizing Master Service Agreements, Purchase Orders, Compensation Agreements, and other contractual documents for the purchase of materials and services

  • Develop and execute the Contract Management Plan

  • Supplier Relationship Management

  • Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers to facilitate commercial terms and supplier performance in support of operations

  • Participate in Field Improvement Team (FIT) meetings

  • Compliance

  • Ensure all supply chain services are conducted as per COP Supply Chain Standards, including all proper documentation, use of systems, approvals and communications

  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Work with HSE to ensure suppliers adhere to COP HSE Standards. Will be a member of the IMT (Incident Management Team) for the GCBU Gulf of Mexico



  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • 1 years of supply chain, business or related technical experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in supply chain, business, or related technical discipline

  • Intermediate level of experience working in gCMS and SAP

  • Ability to understand business needs and effectively handle related supply chain activities

  • Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks opportunities to collaborate across the matrix/organizational boundaries to achieve business goals.

  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what is right

  • Listens actively and invites dialogue for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive performance and achieve results

  • Understands how key financial and quantitative indicators impact the business
