Our Early Career Program

ConocoPhillips Norway is looking for two graduates with a master's degree in Mechancial or Marine Tech Engineering. Start date is estimated to September 1, 2021.

Mechanicl/Marine Tech Engineers could be involved in evaluation and mitigation of integrity issues and optimization of maintenance programs for mechanical equipment and systems such as:

  • Valves

  • Piping systems

  • Heat exhangers, pressure vessels and atmospheric tanks

  • Pipelines and sub-sea systems

  • Structures

  • Cranes/lifting systems

All Graduate New Hire Engineers will join Accelerate - our Early Career program. The accelerate program is a flexible development framework to enhance and accelerate early career professional development.

The first two years will be spent on two to four rotational assignments in a variety of multi-discipline teams.

During the assignments you will be challenged to develop your technical skills along with the interdisciplinary team-working and communication skills essential to our business. These assignments provide a golden opportunity to get to know the organization, and better plan for further career developments. Common for all assignments is that you will be working with real issues actively contributing to the business unit’s goals. You will also be assigned a technical mentor and a career coach. Together with your mentor and career coach you will develop a skills development plan that will serve as the foundation for your career with ConocoPhillips.

During your first two years with ConocoPhillips you can expect to have formal training, including New Hire courses. As a graduate you will also be given the opportunity for networking through the Young Professionals Forum.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree completed by the summer of 2021 within Mechanical or Marine Tech Engineering

  • Less than two years of relevant experience (post bachelor/master)

  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written

  • Legally authorized to work in Norway on a permanent full-time basis

  • Excellent computer literacy

  • Able to read, write and speak Norwegian

  • Minimum average grade B

Work location

The position is located onshore in our office in Tananger. Sporadic offshore trips should be expected. Please note that an offshore health certificate- and a basic safety training course is required before going offshore.
