ConocoPhillips Norway have a vacant position within IT as IT/OT Server Analyst. This position is a part of the IT organization and reports to Supervisor Computing Infrastructure and Network Services, and Supervisor SE&T Services

Purpose :

The IT/OT server analyst is responsible for Windows (server and technical workstations), VMware ESXi, and storage tasks for Operational Technology (OT) systems and for Enterprise IT systems. This position is a rotational position where one rotation is tightly linked to the Onshore Technical Center and the second rotation is spent in the IT organization. The IT/OT server analyst is responsible for the operation, maintenance and periodic refresh of all servers and pc’s, hyperconverged equipment, and storage devices in the Enterprise and OT environments. The role is also responsible for planning of changes onshore and offshore, and providing Windows, VMware ESXi, and storage design and solutions to major projects while focusing on cybersecurity.

Accountability & End Result

Windows server and pc, VMware ESXi, hyperconverged solution and storage administrator. Project management; Technical consultancy; Liaise between IT organization and Norway operations, as well as third party vendors. Ensure maximum availability of IT security services for all IT and OT servers through a functional and scalable DMZ design, proactive monitoring and maintenance of equipment and services. Design and implement Cloud solutions for Enterprise and OT system servers.

Assigned roles and responsibilities :

  • Manage incidents in ServiceNow; second level support within agreed SLA

  • Manage notifications in SAP and provide service to system owners and Norway operations

  • Administer local, regional, and global Windows, VMware ESXi, and storagedevices and services

  • Enforce IT and ICS (Industrial Control System) security with clear understanding of network segregation and firewall protection

  • Prepare, hold and/or attend meetings with various stakeholders

  • Document design in ServiceNow, SAP and Sharepoint where applicable.

  • Manage and participate in projects; provide technical consultancy.

  • Troubleshooting / third level support; Customer liaison; Problem / resolution management.

  • Follow-The-Sun support with possibility for future local 24/7 duty

Qualifications:

Required competencies:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Engineer/Technology and/or Computer Science. Less formal education might be compensated with relevant and documented experience

  • Knowledge of international and national security standards such as NIST, NOROG 104 etc.

  • Project management skills;

  • Customer facing skills;

  • Strong documentation skills;

  • Systematic approach to problem solving; follows processes and procedures;

  • Team player; strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain positive relations with stakeholders and colleagues across all levels

  • Strong general knowledge of personal computers, network technology and segregation, the Microsoft software suite

  • 3-5 years technical experience in server application/OS installation & upgrades and in VMware ESXi. Experience with offshore and remote support; server administration.

  • Knowledge of NetApp, PureStorage and backup. Cloud architecture (Azure and/or AWS);

  • English and Norwegian language competence, both written and spoken.

Preferred competencies

  • MSc in Information Technology or Engineering

  • In depth knowledge of IT processes and procedures, global and local

  • Knowledge of offshore processes and procedures for the Norwegian Continental shelf

  • Knowledge of OT environments

  • Strong general IT infrastructure knowledge and hands on ability

  • Offshore work experience
