Job Summary
Bakken Overview
The Bakken trend is a sequence of liquids-rich sand and shale layers in the Williston Basin, which stretches across western North Dakota and into Canada. The company’s position in the Bakken development area is comprised of approximately 560,000 net acres, which include 382,000 net mineral acres and 178,000 net leasehold acres. The company focuses on unconventional tight-oil play development and production in the most prolific portion of the basin.
During 2022, net production averaged 95 MBOED. There were 43 operated wells brought online during 2022, bringing the total to more than 800 operated wells online at year-end.

If you are selected as the Production Specialist, you will be in a leadership role that will provide mentorship to multi-skill operators (MSOs) and provide support to the team for the purpose of optimizing production for both down hole and surface operations.
This position can be based in Watford City, North Dakota or Dickinson, North Dakota.
This is a Safety Sensitive position.
Position Overview
Your responsibilities may include:
Represent operations by participating in the project activities
Responsible for completing nightly report of jobs completed during night shift
Assist with enforcing proper policies and procedures
Provide support to team as needed for preparing recommendations; beam pump designs, and down hole configurations, i.e., collecting data, fluid levels, weigh wells
Serve as liaison between support team (PE, RE, FE, Projects, I&E) and Operations. Effectively communicate Operation’s questions/concerns to the support team
Ensure MSOs are adequately trained as per curriculum and address technical training needs
Cygnet, XSPOC and Avocet for monitoring well performance data
FDM opportunities and objectives
Loss production reporting system (LPRS) ensuring accuracy and address downtime reduction opportunities
Well optimization/chemical meetings to maintain an optimum fractional flow reserve (FFR)
Lease reviews to identify and track optimization opportunities
Handover processes and pre-startup safety review (PSSR)/commissioning of wells and facilities as needed
Safety leadership, stand downs, safety programs
Assist in the development of the SOPs (safety operating procedures)
Promote SPIRIT values in all dealings with Ops and Project teams
Field Specialist shall be trained to assist PE's and Engineering Tech in writing pre pulls
Responsible for trouble-shooting operations problems, housekeeping and record keeping
Monitor daily production inputs into electronic data gathering software and comparing input data with output data for correctness
Monitor and optimizing production and costs within area of control for new wells and facilities
Minor hands on production equipment repairs
Operating a company-provided vehicle to perform job duties
Adhere to all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures outlined in the ConocoPhillips Management System
Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Current/Valid Driver's License
3 or more years of experience in upstream field operations
Intermediate level of proficiency with PSSR and MOC processes
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work 7/7 schedule Wednesday to Wednesday, and be supporting overnight operations.
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/align with following: Work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions; Work in several different geographic locations every single day; Work both in and out of a company-owned vehicle; Wear appropriate special safety equipment; Climb heights up to 24 feet to gauge tanks; Walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull; Use hand tools to make minor repairs; Work weekends and be on call
Currently reside or willing to relocate within a 40-mile driving radius of Watford City, ND
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 10% of the time on a yearly basis
Preferred:
Associate's Degree/Trade Certification or higher in Production Technology, Process Technology, related technical field or foreign equivalent
Intermediate level of proficiency with Word, Excel, SAP, and Outlook
Intermediate level of proficiency in Cygnet, Well View, Rod Star, XBALANCE, XSPOC
Intermediate level of proficiency in oil and gas operations
Intermediate level of proficiency in project processes and workflow
Ability to prepare accurate and legible reports
Ability to read and understand production reports
Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions
Inclination and interest in training and mentoring others
